Sue Battery

Hello! I am Sue and thank you so much for taking the time to browse my website.

I take commissions, based on photographs that you provide, and there is also my own art to buy.

I love to paint animals.
I have been an animal lover since a toddler, and when I got older I adopted dogs from rescue. Bloo, my 14 year-old canine pal, is still with me and is enjoying life in the Isle of Man, where I live.
Our pets and animals give us so much joy and I believe a painting is a truly fitting tribute to them.

I also paint landscapes, seascapes, portraits - in fact, I am happy to paint any subject. I love drawing portraits in pencil, too.
I can create an image as it appears in a photograph, but I am also able to paint figurative and abstract pieces.

I use professional standard acrylic paints, use only synthetic brushes, and complete the finished painted piece with two layers of varnish to protect the surface for years to come.

Please browse the Galleries here on my site. They show what I love to do.

I also have an Instagram account

I currently use acrylic paint and pencil but I will soon be providing the choice of watercolour.

I will be introducing my designs in linocut and etching prints.

I will be painting a series of pieces inspired by the wonderful photographs taken by my friend, Tony Ashworth.

Oh and I'll be introducing Bertie, my VW Campervan. I have been given permission by Ramsey Commissioners to park and sell my art at Park Road, Ramsey.
